Time To Make Sense x Springbok
Accessibility Statement

This statement covers content published on https://www.timetomakesense.com/. Even though Time to Make Sense is a Springbok initiative, this statement does not extend to other content or websites published on any of their subdomains. They each have their own specific accessibility statements.

Our commitment to inclusivity

At Springbok, we believe high-quality educational content should be accessible to everyone. Accessibility is a key focus for us, and we are committed to providing equal access to all visitors.

We embrace diversity and inclusion. Our platform is designed and developed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA standards, as outlined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), to cater to the diverse needs of our users.

We are actively fostering an accessibility culture within our design, content, and development community. Additionally, we focus on the accessibility of our slides and presentations and our newsletter.

Technical specifications

The accessibility of the Time to Make Sense website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browsers and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • WAI-ARIA

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant, meaning some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

While we acknowledge that certain areas of our website are not fully accessible, we are committed to making progress toward creating a fully accessible web experience.

Non-accessible content

  • Clickables: Not all the links on our website are tagged for assistive technology.
  • Keyboard Navigation: Navigating the website using only the keyboard can lead to limitations, particularly with the language switcher.
  • Colour Contrast: Certain text and interactive elements have inadequate contrast with their backgrounds or surrounding colours.
  • Heading Structure: The visual heading structure is not always reflected in the code, leading to some headings not being recognised by screen readers. In some cases, the visual and semantic hierarchies do not match.

Our accessibility journey is ongoing. We regularly scan the website to confirm fixes of known issues and schedule the fixing of any new issues.

Our ambition is to fix all known accessibility problems by June 2025.
